Good location, not far from the city center and everything was pristine
The rooms were super cute and clean and well located, central to Carmel restaurants and shopping
This hotel is in a great location. It's on the main street and close to everything. It's next to the park, across from Carmel Plaza, next to grocery and liquor stores, and just a short walk to the coffee/bakery/deli shop. The staff were very friendly and responsive to requests. They even heated up our leftover pizza for us. The hotel has a parking lot in front. Rooms had nice flat screen TVs. The breakfast was nothing fancy but pretty good for free. They had an egg dish, bagels, English muffins, toast, cereal, mini muffins, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, orange juice, and milk.
Even though the hotel is all nonsmoking, our room smelled as if someone had smoked in it. The hotel rooms are pretty old and outdated. The beds were comfortable and carpets and bedspreads looked pretty new, but the bathrooms were very outdated. The downside of the parking lot in front is that it is very noisy with cars coming and going and the noise of people going up and down the stairs, down the halls, and slamming doors.
Clean nice big room, friendly staff, close to Yosemite...
There is no any mobile connection in the area, nowhere around Yosemite!!!
You cannot beat the price and the location of this hotel. It's a clean well located place.
The general location of the hotel was good. The breakfast that came included with the room was good too. They could have changed the main dish which was made from eggs and spinach. Exactly the same thing was served all of the three mornings we stayed there.
The dust ruffle on the bed was very dirty or stained. The bathroom was in need of a lot of work and details. The bathtub was two different colors and when you got into it the plastic tub cover had a lot of water trapped under it which was terrible. The walls behind and around the toilet were badly stained and unfinished. Rooms were not very soundproofed. Try oiling the hinges on all of the doors in the complex which you could easily hear from the other units. Someone should walk the individual units to look at what has not been attended to for some time.
Good breakfast compared to other Inn
Carmel Village Inn offered a good value for its convenient location at the end of the Ocean Avenue shopping district. I most appreciated that it did not charge a 2 night minimum stay for the weekend.
Inn was very good value and in a good location, easy to find. Breakfast was good.
Thought it was a bit shabby though clean.
Location was great. Price was fair in comparison to other Inns in area.
Bathroom was very outdated. Shower tub was worn and had a crack in the lining. Overall it worked for a "beach/outdoor" trip... but not great.
Location of the hotel is very good, best freshly baked muffin I had. Courtesy breakfast was allright.
Wery good location, very clean, all very good
It was close to down town
The hotel's price for 1 night was $99 on Booked.net, but when I got there they charged me $176. It wasn't fair.
The breakfasts were excellent and my room was comfortable.
The outside area surrounding the Inn needs to be swept and hosed off. The flower boxes on the Junipero side needed attention.l
easy to get to, by the main shops and bars. close to the beach(15min walk]clean motel style rooms, no complaints for short stop travelling CLA
